What services does Mediacom offer?

Mediacom offers cable internet, TV, and home phone service across 22 U.S. states.

Mediacom internet plans offer fast speeds at low prices, and its contract-free plans are a big plus. Its TV plans kinda suck, though, with lackluster channel lineups and a required bundle with Mediacom internet. (Bundling is also a requirement for Mediacom’s home phone service.)

But in our annual Internet Customer Satisfaction Survey, only 60% of Mediacom respondents said they were highly satisfied with the internet provider. For more details, check out our Mediacom internet review.

When you bundle Mediacom internet and TV service, you can choose from three channel tiers:

We’re not fans of Mediacom’s decision to require an internet plan to get TV service. If we had to pick, we’d go with Variety TV because you’ll get the most basic cable channels for your home. Mediacom’s lower-tier packages are affordable, but Local TV has a barebones channel lineup while Essential TV is missing common channels like ESPN and Disney XD.

Home phone is a similar deal–a bundle is required to get this Mediacom service. However, it’s only an additional $5 per month, which is significantly cheaper than most competitors (looking at you, Cox and Spectrum). So if you want the security of a landline, Mediacom isn’t a bad way to go.
