Master of Science in Management - Federal Contract Management

In its report, Where the Jobs Are: Mission Critical Opportunities for America, The Partnership for Public Service lists contracting among the top areas where government is hiring. Likewise, the Federal Acquisition Institute states on its Web site that, Because of changes in the workforce, candidates for jobs in contracting are in high demand throughout the Federal Government. That means a wide variety of positions at every level with corresponding career paths are available in which you can move and grow. In response to this growing need,the track in Federal Contract Management was developed for the MSM It offers a great opportunity to students who are interested in capitalizing on the robust career opportunities for contracting professionals.

The program consists of a total of 12 courses, or 36 semester credits. Students must earn at least a 'B' grade point average (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) - both overall and on final projects completed as part of the capstone course.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The Catholic University of America

In addition to submitting all required items (application fee, transcripts, purpose statement, resume, references, and GRE scores), international students must also submit documentation that shows financial support for tuition and expenses for one year of study.

Applicants for whom English is a second language must demonstrate their proficiency by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Scores for all three components (listening, writing, vocabulary/comprehension) should be submitted with the other application materials. The university code for the TOEFL scores is 5104.

International applicants must complete the Request for Visa Documentation form in the Catholic University Graduate Admissions Application Packet. International students also must arrange to have their transcripts translated and credits and/or degrees certified by the World Education Service (http://WES.org).

Minimally accepted TOEFL scores, when applying for graduate programs, are 550-paper, 213-computer, and 80 Internet. Students taking the TOEFL should have at least 20 out of 30 in each of the TOEFL subcategories. The minimally accepted graduate IELTS score is 6.5. Individual IELTS test module scores are also reviewed in addition to the overall IELTS score.
