How to Complete a FedEx International Air Waybill

Use this sample Air Waybill* to help you complete every section correctly.

1. Sender Information
Provide your address details, phone and FedEx account number.

2. Reference
You can add a reference which will appear on your invoice.

3. Recipient
For reliable delivery, clear and precise details are imperative.

4. Services
You can use the above Air Waybill for all FedEx's door-to-door express services. Please note, not all options are available to all destinations.

5. Packaging
Indicate whether it's a FedEx Letter/Envelope, FedEx Pak, or other packaging.

6. Delivery/Handling Instructions
Check the box for required delivery or handling instructions.

7. Transportation Charges
If you require Bill Recipient or Bill Third Party you will need to provide the appropriate FedEx account number. If the recipient or third party fails to pay, the sender is responsible for payment.

8. Duties and Taxes
Any international shipment may be subject to duties and taxes upon arrival at its final destination.

9. Shipment Information
Weight - is the total weight of your shipment including packaging. Country of Manufacture - for every commodity in your shipment. Total Declared Value for Carriage - must not exceed the "Total Declared Value for Customs". Total Value for Customs - the selling price or replacement cost of the shipment's contents, which must be equal to or greater than the "Total Declared Value for Carriage".

10. Sender Signature
Please be sure to sign the Air Waybill, remove the pink copy and place the remaining copies with your shipment.

A Commercial Invoice is required for all international shipments except personal, inter-office and business documents. Please refer to How to Complete a Commercial Invoice for more details.

* Please note that the conditions of carriage of the shipment will be governed by the terms and conditions which are set forth on the local language Air Waybill.
